Timeless Classic Movies from the Public Domain Converted to Color in 4K
Welcome to OldMoviesinColor.com!
This project sprang to life upon the completion of a prior endeavor that demanded the power of an RTX 4080 graphics card. Once the project concluded, my PC lay dormant, prompting me to delve into the realms of AI and the colorization of vintage black and white movies from the public domain.
For many years, my YouTube channel has primarily been a platform for my music. However, given the challenges of the modern music industry, I sought a new avenue. Thus, I decided to embark on the journey of uploading colorized videos from 1923 and earlier, free from copyright issues.
Upon reaching the milestone of the first 100 videos, the natural progression led to the creation of this website. Here, you’ll find a curated collection of movies from my YouTube channel, each accompanied by a brief profile of the actors and actresses. The meticulous process of colorization, with each video taking up to 22 hours to convert to 4K resolution, coupled with the personal touch of colorized profile images, has made this venture both laborious and immensely gratifying.
Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of cinematic history as I share the stories behind each movie, actor, and actress. This project, involving exhaustive research and the creation of individual pages for each movie, actor, and actress, has been both painstaking and thoroughly enjoyable.
As I delved into the world of pre-1923 cinema, I’ve discovered and learned about many actors and actresses. Building this website and forming this project has been an absolute pleasure.
I invite you to enjoy this collection of classic movies, colorized in stunning 4K detail. If you have any movie requests, please use the contact form or visit my YouTube channel (link in the footer of this site) and share your thoughts. Thank you for being a part of this journey, and I hope you thoroughly enjoy the timeless charm of these colorized classics.
